AS THE PRETTY GIRLS WALK BY

Image

Long time coming

Worth the wait

A French cafe

Bliss

A glass of Beaujolais

A little fromage

Munster I think

Yes Munster

On Pain Complet

That will do

Nicely

Maybe later

A petit

Café noir

Then sit back

And idly contemplate

As the pretty girls

Dressed in their finery

Walk by

Heaven on earth

      1. All ladies are young ladies and always will be! I’ll have it no other way. I much prefer the company of women to men – in a good way I stress!

      2. LOL! Well, I like being a young lady again and I’m glad to see you’ve been schooled properly in that regard. You could give Man Lessons Seminars and I know plenty of ladies that would pay you well to teach their men.

  1. Love this one! It captures the sentiment of summertime as much as that song ‘Summertime’ does! And I really enjoy how it conveys a sentiment of just simply enjoying the moment and absorbing the beauty of it.

      1. Well, it’s poems like these that make me miss Europe for some reason…Summer is always more special when you can’t take it for granted (such as the Caribbean where I live)
