Emancipation

For once I will drop the satire! If any of you have thus far not come across Paul Lenzi’s sublime poetry then let this be a taster for the most worthy of blogs. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Poesy plus Polemics

untie the moon
let it float
free to find
its own way
self-determined
unobliged
by the pulling
demands of
your dreams
it was never
your charm
to begin with
no mere
trifling astrolog
toy of indenture
to limited human
scale sense
of aesthetics
it has dreams
of its own
give it time
grant it space
to more fully
experience
cosmic existence
to roam and to
reach some
warm place of
its choosing
an orbit perhaps
round some star
that appreciates
even the smallest
of planets
then you can
find comfort
take pride
in the simple
release of
your power
conferring the
greatest of gifts
in the galaxy
freedom
it only awaits
you to
untie the moon

  1. That is beautiful and though I do already follow Paul’s blog (Hi, Paul!), I think I love him comments to you almost as much as his awesome work. Thank you for sharing. 😀

      1. LOL! Well, that’s true…but I don’t think it applies to computer typos. 😉 (Last night I typed a reply to someone in the dark and pressed the go button before I read it…and it looked like I was schnockered!)
