A charmed malice

And a dexterous mind

Under the

Flag of Iniquitous Deeds

Stalks the fragile still

Dispatches them

This way and that

A manoeuvre of stealth and

Little substance

Effective enough though for

In the towns and the desert

It feeds the birth of the

Troublesome weed named

‘Tangible Nothingness’

An invasive non-native

Plays havoc with biodiversity

A charmed malice

And a dexterous mind

A legacy

And a garden named Iraq

In ruins

      1. Taupin is a fine lyricist and certainly Elton’s work is rubbish since they stopped working together all those years ago. I shall take a listen and get back after my 12k which I’ve been putting off.

      2. I shall listen today – hadn’t forgotten. I spent the weekend watching live football over in Gillingham and thereafter our beloved Arsenal live on TV then got into writing mode. But today it is on my list of things to do as all I have on the WordPress front is posting – all skits written in advance Rachel style!

      3. Woo Hoo! That will definitely free up some time for you later in the week. 🙂 So by football, I assume you mean your football, our soccer? 😉 (the black and white ball) And not our football, your rugby? Right? I just sent you an email that might tie up some time for you now that you’ve got extra time on your hands. 🙂
